Ten Things to be Thankful
1
Nail wraps I did myself
Lifts up my mood
To perk up my nails
That are usually nude
2
A phone call from my son
To tell me how he's doing
Put a smile on my face
At least he is talking
He said he was sorry
For leaving my place
He will come back to me
In four weeks, he's free
3
A little treat from my daughter
A snack with some crackers
Marshmallow, and chocolates
With a sweet note from her
4
Snowball let me groom him
I did a little trim
But I'm not quite done
I need a hand to hold him down
5
A simple dinner in a fast food
In between two therapy sessions
Also lifts up our mood
With our fresh attitude
6
We can't always eat out
So here's another treat
To satisfy the tooth
Some sushi-fish-meat
7
Speaking of meat
Here's a real steak we enjoyed
Some T-bone steak I cut
It is so good, oh boy
8
One of my favorite flavors
Pistachio ice cream
A dessert to savor
My neighbors heard me scream
9
Another thing I enjoy
Doing with my daughter
Is to watch her have a haircut
It always fits her
10
I was nervous trying this
But I got it for free
This Kale salsa dip
That is so good with chips

All little things count
Together they keep me around
For if I concentrate on the bad
I know I will just grow mad

ReplyThe very first time I have tried pistachio ice cream was last summer. Can you believe that? I'm 35 years old! It was delicious. I can't believe I've been missing out all this time.
ReplyThose notes are absolutely precious and must have brightened up your day. I love getting notes from my little one.
Have a wonderful week.
I'm not so cool as to right in rhyme, but I enjoy your posts, everytime. How's that? Your nails are super.
ReplyI love all the food, but your son was the best part. I'm glad he will return to you and he's not angry at you anymore. That rocks.

My son's message is the highlight of my week.
ReplyYour nails are cool! I do not have the patience to maintain long nails or sit for polish to dry, but I do think they look nice. Finding joy in little things seems to be a theme across TToT posts this week - whatever your small joy is, go with it!
