Snow Day, Fondue Day
No outdoor activity on this snow day this week. I don't do anything snow--skiing, snowboarding, and such. Many years ago, I took my kids (now teens) sledding, but that's about it. So what did we do on this snow day? Paul and I went . . .

. . . to the grocery store.

I was eyeing on the cookies but Paul went a different direction.

To the bread side we went. French bread here is awesome.
We also got some Gruyere and Emmenthaler cheese for our homemade Swiss Fondue. I already have white wine and the non-traditional crockpot for fondue to put on the dining room table. Back home, here we are about to cube the bread and shred the cheese.

Good food matters. Yeah.
We dipped the cubed bread into the steaming sauce for a delicious meal at home. Of course, we could just skip the preparation and dine in a fondue restaurant. But going to our fave fondue place will cost $100 minimum with steak and fondue chocolate combined.
