Having a Ball

Balls of Thanks

As I look over my week

And pondered for a moment

I may just choose to shriek

To all my heart's content

Why?

Another day in court made me feel so weak

I had some van troubles

Like the breaks making squeaks

Plus my tires were so bald, unsafe, and antique

But regardless of all

There are things that went well

I am thankful for volleyball

My daughter played well

I am thankful for basketball

It's my son's sport this fall

Plus he didn't run away

So he's good overall

I am thankful for Paul

He's here, the long haul

Through my cancer years, depression

Teens' troubles, and all

I am sure there are more

I should be thankful for

Some things may be small

I just cannot recall

I can say, it's a good week

Hey, I did not freak

And compared to some weeks I cried
This week I laughed, and I smiled.

Nice job! I'm a horrible poet.
Glad your kids are doing well. Crappy car? Yeah, I hear you. Got two of them. Turn the radio up. That's my solution to most car problems.

I spent 45.6 seconds trying to come up with a comment that rhymed, but came up blank. I'm liking your Suessesque ttot this week! Not liking the car troubles. Been there. It isn't a fun place to be.

What a great TTOT verse! It sounds like you had some things that went well. It is good that you can know that you will not be driving on bald tires too.
